Olive Garden 5-Cheese Lasagna Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Sauce:
1/4 c of butter (unsalted)
1/4 c of flour
2 c of milk
For the filling:
1/4 c of sun-dried tomatoes (oil packed); drained and chopped finely
1 Tbsp of garlic (fresh); minced
3-1/2 c of cheese (Ricotta)
3 pcs of eggs (large)
1 c of grated cheese (Parmesan)
1/2 c of grated cheese (Romano)
1/2 tsp of salt
1 tsp of pepper (black)
4 c of shredded cheese (Mozzarella)
4 c of shredded cheese (Fontina)
1 c of lasagna noodles (spinach or regular); cooked
Marinara sauce (as desired)
Extra freshly grated cheese (Parmesan)
Instructions:
Melt the butter inside a heavy saucepan then add the flour; stir till blended well and cook till frothy. Stir constantly then add the milk. Let it simmer and cook till thick, about 3-4 mins, while stirring frequently. Let it chill.Combine tomatoes, garlic, Ricotta, eggs, Parmesan, Romano, salt, and pepper inside a large bowl. Add (1-1/2 cups) chilled sauce; mix till blended and place inside the refrigerator and save half cup.
Arrange 3 sheets of lasagna on a 9×13x2-inch slightly greased ovenproof dish. Spread (1-1/2 cups) filling above the pasta; sprinkle a cup of Mozzarella with quarter cup of Fontina. Do the same process thrice and place three sheets of lasagna as the topmost layer. Spread the saved half cup of saved sauce above the layers then cover with aluminum foil. Bake inside preheated oven 350 degrees F for an hour. Take out from the oven then keep it warm for half an hour then serve. To with warm marinara sauce then sprinkle Parmesan.
