Northwest Cheesecake Supreme Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Base:
1 c of cracker crumbs (Graham)
3 Tbsps of sugar (refined)
3 Tbsps of melted margarine
For the Body:
4 pkgs of cream cheese (8 oz each); softened
1 c of sugar (refined)
3 Tbsps of flour
4 pcs of eggs (large)
1 c of sour cream (dairy)
1 Tbsp of vanilla extract
21 oz of pie filling (cherry, canned)
Instructions:
Combine sugar, margarine, and crumbs; press firmly on the base of a 9-inch (springform) pan. Place inside the oven and bake for ten mins, 325 degrees F. Combine sugar, flour, and cream cheese inside a bowl; beat thoroughly till blended well. Add the eggs individually. while beating continuously; add vanilla and (sour) cream; blend them well.
Pour onto the crust and bake 450 degrees F for ten mins. Reduce temperature 250 degrees F and continue to bake for another hour. Run a knife on the sides to loosen the cake. Let cake cool completely then remove the rim and place inside the refrigerator. Spread the filling on top then serve.
