Memories Of Winnipeg Creamy Cheesecake Recipe
Ingredients:
3/4 c of Graham crumbs
1 lemon rind; grated
1/3 c of melted butter
1/3 c of brown-sugar
1/4 tsp of cardamom; ground
2 pounds of creamcheese
3/4 c of sugar
1 tsp of vanilla
4 large eggs
Juice from half of lemon
Instructions:
Prepare oven. Heat it to 350 degrees F. Combine crumbs, brown sugar, rind, cardamom and melted butter together then tightly press mixture into ten-inch springform bake pan. Combine creamcheese, eggs, sugar, juice and vanilla in separate bowl. Beat it thoroughly then pour mixture into prepared crust.
Let it bake for thirty-five minutes. Once done, turn oven off, prop door of oven open w/ folded tea-towel then allow the cake to stand inside oven for 60 mins. Refrigerate before you serve.
