Marinated Cheese Recipe
Ingredients:
1 envelope of Italian mix (0.7 ounce)
1/4 c of white-vinegar
2 Tbsps of minced onions (green)
8 ounces of cheese (Monterey-Jack)
8 ounces of creamcheese
Parsley sprigs (fresh) for garnishing
1/2 c of oil (vegetable)
2 Tbsps of water
1 & 1/2 tsps of sugar
4 ounce-jar pimiento (diced); drained
8 ounces sharp cheese (Cheddar)
Instructions:
Combine Italian mix, oil, vinegar, water, onions and sugar. Place in covered jar, vigorously shake to have it blended. Set mixture aside. Have Monterey cheese sliced crosswise onto one-forth inch strips. Have every strip halved, forming 2 small squares. Do the same process for Cheddar and creamcheese.
In two-quarts dish, assemble the cheese cuts, looking like your dominoes, arranged in 2 rows. Have cheeses positioned alternately side-by-side. Pour the marinade all over the cheeses. Cover then have it refrigerated overnight. When ready to be served, drain then arrange cheeses on serving platter in rows. Dust every row w/ pimiento. Best when served w/ crackers.
