Kahlua Cheesecake Bars Recipe
Ingredients:
6 Tbsps of unsalted margarine or butter
3/4 c of flour (all-purpose) plus 2 Tbsps
1/4 tsp of salt
4 eggs (large)
6 ounces of semi-sweet pieces
1/2 tsp of baking powder
3/4 c of lightly packed brown-sugar
1 Tbsp of instant coffee (espresso)
8 ounces of softened creamcheese
3 tsps of vanilla
1/2 c of sugar
3 Tbsps of Kahlua
1/3 c of sugar
1 & 1/2 c of sourcream
Instructions:
Prepare the oven. Heat it to three hundred fifty degrees Fahrenheit. Grease lightly a 13×9-inch bake pan.
For Brownie-Layer: Melt the butter in saucepan placed over low-heat. Set it aside and cool. Mix 3/4 c of flour, salt and baking powder. Separately combine and beat sugar, 2 eggs, vanilla & coffee ’til well-blended. Add cooled butter. Mix and then spread the batter evenly over greased pan.
For the Cheesecake-Layer: Beat sugar, flour and creamcheese in bowl, blend w/ mixer set at mid-speed ’til fluffy and pale. Gradually add 2 eggs, beat after every addition. Add cinnamon & vanilla. Mix then pour into brownie-layer carefully. Have it spread evenly then bake for 20 mins or ’til top layer sets. Remove the pan once done.
Sourcream Layer: You mix sugar & sourcream. Spread sourcream mixture all over cheesecake. Return into oven then bake for 10 mins more. Completely cool the pan on racks before slicing into small bars.
