Chicken & Cheese Crescent Chimachangas Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 c of chopped onions
3 Tbsp of oil
16 ounces of crescent shaped dinner-rolls
2 c of shredded cheese (Cheddar)
1/2 c of salsa
1 sourcream
2 cloves garlic; minced
2 & 1/2 c of cooked chicken; shredded
Instructions:
Prepare oven. Heat it to three hundred fifty degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a large sized cookie or biscuit sheet. In skillet, you cook garlic and onion in 3 Tbsp of oil ’til onion becomes tender. Combine chicken, then cook it over low-heat ’til well heated, stir occasionally. Remove skillet from heat. Cut dough into eight rectangles then press firmly the perforations in order to completely seal. Scoop 2 tsps of salsa and spread into each dough cut, leaving 1/2-inch away from edge.
Add 1 c of cheese onto chicken mix. Scoop a heaping 1/3-cup of meat mixture into half portion of every rectangle. Roll rectangles up starting form shortest edge and pinch edges firmly to have dough sealed. Arrange w/ seam-side-down on a greased bake sheet. You bake them at 350 degrees F for 16-21 mins or ’til golden-browned. Remove sheet from the oven. Then top every rectangle w/ 2 Tbsps of reserved cheese. Put back in oven and bake for another 1-2 mins or ’til cheese melts. Serve w/ sourcream & salsa.
