Cheesecake Germania Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c of crumbled wafers
3 Tbsps of melted margarine
1/4 c of cocoa
2 Tbsps of sugar
3 packs of soften creamcheese (8 oz)
3/4 c of sugar plus 1/3 c
3 large eggs
2 tsp of vanilla
1/3 c of milk (evaporated)
1/4 c of margarine
1/2 tsp of vanilla
1 beaten egg
1/2 c of dessicated coconut
1/2 c of pecans; chopped
Instructions:
For the base: Mix margarine, sugar & crumbs together. Tightly press into bottom part of nine-inch sized springform bake pan. Let it bake for 10 mins at three hundred fifty degrees F.
For the body: Blend creamcheese, vanilla, cocoa and sugar using a mixer at mid-speed. Beat ’til well-blended. Add in eggs gradually, mix well every after addition. Then pour mixture over prepared crust and bake for 35 mins at three hundred fifty degrees F. Loosen the cake edges once done, allowing to cool completely before you remove the pan’s rim. Chill.
For the topping: Combine sugar, milk, vanilla, egg & margarine in saucepan. Cook, Constantly stirring ’til mixture thickens. Add in dessicated coconut and pecans. Allow to cool then spread all over cheesecake.
