Cheese Fondue-Rec.Foods Recipe
Ingredients:
3 cups of cheese (Cheddar, mild or sharp); shredded
1 cup of cheese (Swiss); shredded
1/2 cup of any beer
1 teaspoon of garlic; minced
1 teaspoon of mustard (dry)
1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
Salt & pepper (to taste)
Flour
Instructions:
Using covered bowl, combine cheeses then add handful flour as coating so that cheeses will melt without clumps. Using saucepan or fondue fountain pot, steam off beer yet avoiding it to boil; add cheeses mixture, constantly stirring. When you think your cheeses are too great in quantity or if sauce is too creamy, add beer in order to adjust the taste. Pour salt, pepper, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and garlic. Turn saucepan or fondue container over low flame and start dipping.
Here are some suggested stuffs that can be dipped into fondue: any types of chunks of bread, pieces of apples, slices of carrots, florets of cauliflower and basically any vegetable (raw). This recipe creates 1 quart of fondue mixture.
