Cheese Birds With Veal Or Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp of flour (unbleached)
Salt and pepper (to taste)
1 pc of chicken breast (12-14 ozs) or 1/2 lb of steak (veal)
2 pcs of Cheddar sticks (sharp, 5″ x 1/2″ x 1/2″)
1 Tbsp of margarine or butter
2 Tbsps of onion; chopped finely
2 Tbsp of water
1/4 c of catsup
A dash of oregano
Instructions:
Combine pepper, flour and salt then pound into meat ’til meat is thin. Slice meat to have two serving portions and put cheddar stick lengthwise above each meat. Roll tightly and pass through skewer.
Then melt butter and use this to brown onion and meat on skillet. Drop catsup, oregano as well as water then allow to simmer, covered, 20-25 minutes ’til tender. Meat is best served while hot.
