Candy Apple Cheese Pie Recipe
Ingredients:
Pastry shell (9-inch); baked
1 pack of milk (sweetened condensed)
Cheese (cream,8 ozs.); softened
1/3 c of Realemon juice (lemon)
20 ozs of apples; sliced & drained
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/4 c of cinnamon (red)
2 tsps of cornstarch
6 Tbsps of water
Instructions:
In a huge mixing bowl, whisk cheese ’til fluffy. Slowly put in milk and beat ’til smooth then add vanilla as well as the juice. Put contents into pastry shell. Lay out the sliced apples on top of the filling.
On low flame using saucepan, melt cinnamon into water (4 Tbsps). Dissolve the cornstarch in the remaining water (2 Tbsps) then add into cinnamon. Continue stirring ’til mixture boils and thickens. Turn off flame and let mixture slightly cool. Sprinkle mixture on apples and refrigerate for three hours ’til set. Serves 8.
