Calzone Alla Napoletana (Ham & Cheese) Turno Recipe
Instructions:
Pizza dough
Cooking oil
1/4 lb of prosciutto or 1/4 lb of ham; boiled & sliced into slivers
1/2 lb of cheese (Mozzarella); cubed small
1/4 lb of Italian salami (soft)
1 c of tomatoes; peeled, chopped and drained
6 tsps of cheese (Romano); grated fresh
Basil or oregano or
Freshly pepper (ground)
Instructions:
Prepare dough and after it rises, beat it down then form six balls. Flatten into 1/4-inch thick circles and brush oil lightly. Divide the rest of ingredients to accommodate the six circles. Have dough folded and sealed calzone-style using oil.
Grease cookie sheet then place calzone on it. Bake inside preheated oven under 400 degree F for half an hour ’til well-browned. This recipe creates six serving portions.
