Beef Casserole With Creamy Cheese Pasta Recipe

Ingredients:

1 tsp of vegetable oil (or canola oil)
2 tsps of crushed garlic
1 c of chopped onion
12 oz of beef (ground)
1/2 c of stock (beef or chicken)
1-2/3 c of tomato sauce (prepared)
8 oz of shell (small)
1 Tbsp of margarine (or butter)
2-1/2 Tbsps of flour (all purpose)
1-1/4 c of stock (beef or chicken)
1-1/4 c of milk (2%PRCTG%)
1/2 c of shredded cheese (Cheddar)
2 Tbsps of grated cheese (Parmesan)

Instructions:

Heat the oil on a non-stick skillet; saute onions and garlic, about 4 mins. Add ground beef then saute till brown, about 4 mins. Add the tomato sauce and stock; simmer above gentle heat, about 12 mins or till mixture becomes thick, while stirring frequently then place on the side. Cook the pasta or shells as stated inside the package directions or till ‘al dente’. Drain then place on a (baking) dish.

Melt the margarine on a non-stick medium saucepan; add the flour then cook it for a minute, while stirring continuously. Add milk and stock; simmer above moderate heat till slightly thick, about 5 mins and add Parmesan and Cheddar. Pour the mixture of the tomato sauce onto the pasta. Mix them well then pour over the mixture of cheese. Cover the dish then bake inside the oven for fifteen mins or till hot. Allow the baked pasta to rest, at about ten mins, then serve.
