Baked Macaroni & Cheese Recipe
Ingredients:
2 tsps of margarine
1/2 c of onion; chopped
1-1/2 c of macaroni (cooked)
6 Tbsps of shredded cheese (Cheddar)
3/4 c of evaporated milk (skim)
1 pc of egg (large)
1/4 tsp of salt
1/16 of red pepper
1/4 tsp of paprika
Instructions:
Preheat the oven, 350 deg Fahrenheit. Heat the a teaspoon of margarine inside a non-stick skillet. Once hot and bubbly, add the onion; saute till limp but don’t let it brown. Spread (3/4 cup) macaroni on a casserole, top (3 tablespoons) cheese and half of sauteed onions. Repeat the layers.
Combine egg, milk, pepper, and salt inside a bowl; mix them till well blended; pour onto the casserole, above the macaroni. Sprinkle paprika and dot the rest of the margarine on top. Bake for 20 to 25 mins or till set. Don’t overcook.
