Baked Lentils With Cheese Recipe
Ingredients:
1-3/4 c of lentils; washed
2 c of water
2 pcs of bay leaves
2 tsps of salt
1/4 tsp of pepper (black)
1/4 tsp of marjoram
1/4 tsp of sage
1/4 tsp of thyme
4 pcs of garlic cloves; chopped finely
2 pcs of onions; chopped
12 oz of tomatoes (canned); drained and cut
2 pcs of carrots (large); sliced to 1/8 inch thick
1 /2 c of celery; sliced thinly
3 c of shredded cheese (Cheddar)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven at 375 degrees F. Combine lentils, water, bay leaves, salt, pepper, marjoram, sage, thyme, garlic, onions, carrots, and celery inside a baking dish. Cover the dish tightly then bake for half an hour or till softened.
Add tomatoes and cheese then bake, without the cover, for another 5 mins or till the cheese has melted.
